Stella Harney

MFT Intern

Stella has experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, life-transitions, relational conflict, sexual health issues, and all other forms of distress.

She has completed her certification in PESI Telehealth for Mental Health Professionals and meets with many of her clients through a virtual office. She is also a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator for premarital and married couples. Stella plans to complete her sex therapy certification in the near future.

Stella connects with clients to uncover opportunities for growth and development, find meaning, and reshape their perspectives to help strengthen their sense of wellbeing.

She enjoys integrating art and other expressive means when working with clients as ways to explore their world and how they make sense of it. Her creative abilities allow clients to openly express their feelings, identities, and experiences both verbally and nonverbally.

Stella is a Master’s level intern with Atlanta Therapeutic Collective, having completed her academic studies for a Master of Family Therapy degree at Mercer University. She previously received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oglethorpe University and a bachelor’s degree in visual communications from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Stella is thrilled to be part of the ATC team.
